"Forgive and forget". Thats what they always say. I beg to differ.
I remembered a time during primary school when I was engaging in a conversation with Dad on the Japanese occupation. Thats when I flared up upon knowing what they did to my fellow ancestors and countrymen. I was harshly criticising and plotting revenge when my dad smiled at me and said:
"Son, we must forgive people for what they did...But we must never forget."
To forgive is to be gracious and accepts that what's done's done. Theres no point in pursing as it will all lead back to the same point..
To not forget means keeping everything that's happened in the back of our heads, as a lesson in life.. To learn from the mistakes from before and turn them into our strong points..
Lastly, to remember how we're treated..And never , ever take things for granted..
I guess that's the first lesson in life I had. The simplest, yet the most applicable one..
Soccer is my favourite hobby.
The most important thing for me now is studying.
I need to get into a good university.
I need a degree.
I need a high pay in the future.
I need a nice home.
I wanna drive a nice car in the future.
Comeon yc, study harder come the next semester.
Play hardest! Its already the final years of schooling life..

A flower is just like friendship.
A beautiful flower blooms and wither..
Leaving its petals as mementos..
Bobbing back and forth on the waves..
In this world, not a single friendship is everlasting. Even people eventually die, do they?Even the most beautiful flower in the world withers..
The petals of the withered flower... Just like the legacy and wonders of fallen friendship.. Shall and will, always remain..
May it bloom once more..

As a student of engineering, I have been offered a contract by some organisations lately. The first one's home team, second's the air force.
I must concede-the money that they offer is freaking tempting. 1k per month while I am still studying in Poly, and 1.2k per semester. Well, I'll be in the school for 36months, which is equals to 36k. 6 semesters = 7.2k
Woah. So after I graduate from the institution, I am already $43 200 rich. OMG. That is before I even work! Super attractive contract. They state that the starting pay for my job is around 2.1k o.o
Damn..
But I will not be taking it up though. 3 years in my school, and you still want me to continue working in the same environment? To quote one of my friends:" If take up the offer, can be pope already."
I want university! If i cant make it for NTU or NUS, I'll be content with SIM(most probably).
The air force is really really professional. Ever heard that the only ways to frustrate a man is with career, women, and money problems? Damn, they mix them all together in one single contract..

Since young, I harbour a humble dream of being able to fly. To soar towards the endless horizon. And to ply my trade with the best in the world. It was now then I realised..
I am really sad to admit, but this is me.
No matter how hard I try to reach for the skies..I may inch closer everyday.. But my roots will always be there to anchor me firmly to the ground..
When I chanced to look down, realisation's too late. Trees don't shrink. And ever heard of the tallest tree thats struck by lightning?
The roots represents the family and friends, the society. They are inevitably a burden to you and your dreams. They force you to follow the conventional route in life.
The height of the tree is relevant to your pride and ambition in the current society. Sadly, the more pride and ambition you have.. The earlier your grave is dug..

Woo. Mood swing. I feel lousy.
Ever felt the world crumble without any apparent reason? Yea, the sky just collapsed on me. Nothing's happened, it just happened. I know I'll be alright after a good night's rest. Its been a while since I felt this way. Maybe, I need a rest.
Cya. I am off to my bed.

I was searching for motivational quotes when I found this "Play every game like your last." Simple, yet powerful.

Victory will never be as sweet as when you outplayed those who acted like gangsters. (=
There was a really really funny incident while playing just now. While playing against the ones who were acting like they're the best players on earth, Wilson bounced the ball hard during one instant(The best player in the world felt insulted as he is the best in the world, he cannot tolerate the eye sore of a ball bouncing in front of him. ), and guess what the opposition said? "If you're not happy with me, look at me in the eye la". It was Wilson who handled the situation like a real man by walking away. LOL, classic stuff from the best player in the world.
Playing with them is a waste of time, we very much wanted to lose to them as fast as possible so that we can leave the court(for another court), but they couldnt score even when we purposely let them have lots of one on ones! Damn frustrating one, one on one also can blast over. Not over the bar, but over the fence thats around the street soccer court! Then everytime need to go and pick the ball. zzz. You think we have time for you guys ar?That was when we began to play serious, leading to the above mentioned confrontation. Damn funny. What I was thinking in my mind was "If we're not happy with you, we win you."
Its a street soccer court, not a battlefield. I am always annoyed when people like them tend to spoil the game, and give it a really bad name. Football is supposed to be beautiful, definitely not 'fearful'. Go home and watch teletubbies!
After the game(which we won), I flashed the widest smile of my life to one of the opposition, shaking his hand as I said: "Nice game." Sweeeeeeet.
Nevertheless, I wasted 30mins of my life in the court with them. But my theory is yet again proven right. I am not the best in my team, but even I can conclude that people like them cant understand football (=

Well, its a good thing that this blog is being updated regularly, but it indirectly translate to me thinking too much and hence having something to blog about. Listening to songs at 1am and trying to figure out the meaning behind each song aint doing good to my health..
I shall prolong my life and not go into details.
But since I am here, I'll just complain abit. Just now I went downstairs to the fitness corner near my home, but theres this freaking foreigner laying down on the sit ups bench! zzz. And he even sat up and looked at my direction (Obvious that he knows I am there) and then he went back down, laying there. zzzzzzzz.
Nice man. Yea, and did I mention that he was smoking? Damn him, he not only obstructed someone's effort to be healthier, he also made an effort to make someone's health degrade. Wonderful. After around 30mins, that guy left, leaving behind a very wet(sweat) sit ups bench. Come on town council! You converted my ex-soccer ground into a temporary sleeping camp. If you wanna do something, please do it perfectly. Limit the use of the facility only to residents living in the area. If you have the money to convert fields into carparks, please dont tell me you dont have the funds to build a fence around the fitness.
Too bad. Who am I? Just someone with no rights to speak up..

Great day playing soccer today! My self given 4 weeks off the field treatment worked! Because, at the very very least, I did not deprove today (=
Enough of this soccer talk already, I shall go into today's main topic: Justice.
Everyone has his or her own justice. Whats your justice? The most common one is just plain moral rightness.. But before everyone starts thinking about his or her own justice, let me tell you one cruel fact. There is no justice in this world.
The laws of every country are made by the country's leading men.
The laws at home are made by the eldest in the family.
Yeah, as you can now picture, laws are made by people with higher authority than those who were made to obey them.
There is no right and wrong in everything, and justice is merely separating the rights and wrongs. Something wrong here?
How can rights and wrongs be separated when theres no such thing?
Just a very simple example over here: The banning of handphones in certain schools, and of course, the acceptance of such technology in the other schools. It will be meaningless for me to elaborate more, as everyone of us knows the pros and cons of the technology if being allowed in school.
To sum it up, whoever wins the war is justice..(You need some thinking over here)
Alright, lets move on the next part.
Ever heard of Dark Justice?
Thats justice too, but achieved by going through unwanted means, like the sacrificial of innocent people. I need not mention Hitler yeah?
People who supports this form of justice usually has a great belief in his or her cause, and are motivated to do anything in order to achieve it. Yeah, terrorists can be categorised under Dark Justice. This form of justice is definitely undesirable, but is currently still practised in the modern world. Nuclear weapons? Definitely a need in the current time fame to maintain peace. But how? It is ultimately the element of fear of being bombed by this weapon that can readily destroy a country and turn it into a useless piece of land for years to come.
Damn you technology. For making people all over the world have no sense of urgency to be on time, and degrading the value of punctuality. For limiting human interactions to an insignificant online chat, phone chat, or even webcam. Damn you technology, for being the core of dark justice. Damn you.

The last post was brain sapping.
Alright, exams are over and hence I have more time for blogging. Just wanna share something today.
Know whats this?
Bird's nest, given by my uncle's one and only more "healthy" bird's nest shop. Very different from what you see in shops that sells them. The dark coloured pigments in the bird's nest are feathers and dirt of the swallows, and yes, the picture you've just seen is the bird's nest thats freshly harvested and not processed.
So why are the products you see in shops so clean as compared? The bird's nest harvested are soaked in chemical solutions that dissolve the dirt and feathers-meaning that the bird's nest you buy from shops are being soaked in chemical solutions before you eat them..
My uncle's way of processing bird's nest is different! Let me show you. The picture you see below is bird's nest soaked in clean drinking water, after separating the dirt and feathers BY HAND. And as you can see, there are still a some amount of black pigments remaining, and mind you, this was the third filter! And every filter is done by hand!
After 2 more filters, heres the end product. Very clean and chemically free bird's nest. Only available in my uncle's shop (=
The bird's nest from those typical shops need a few hours to cook. These hand processed ones? Just 10 minutes.
So now you know how bird's nest processed yea? Half an NTUC plastic bag of bird's nest thats processed by hand cost close to 3000 sing dollars, but we have them for FREE! hahah.
Why no Manchester United mega store uncle? LOL.
Thats the first part of this random post. Time for even more randomness!
Yesterday I saw my parents getting ready to go jogging, so I decided to join them, thinking that they're going the usual route, thats around 3km. After getting ready and doing some warm ups, we began jogging. When my parents took a turn thats different from the usual route, I asked them if they are going by a shorter route, and to my greatest immensest freaking shock, THEY ARE GOING TO JOG 5km. You can imagine how white my face was when I heard that LOL. But I still completed ahead of my dad la, by 8seconds O.O
Just abit extreme, considering the fact that its 3 months since my last jog..

Went to iOn today for the first time with thedric, jianhao, daren. I feel that its just a somehow overrated shopping mall? But anyway, thumbs up for its classy design!
Singapore's really small! One can almost certainly meet a familiar face when out!
I always liked to visit new places, and this trip to iOn certainly falls into the category. Often, Old Trafford comes into the equation. Then, I remembered what happened during primary school...
It was my first time watching soccer. Dad subscribed to the sports channel and theres always lots of people coming to my home to watch soccer. Then theres this match when I noticed the famous David Beckham. He picked up the ball and place it on the ground and as he walked back to position himself, then there was an almost sudden increase in the number of camera flashes in the spectators stand. It was as if they knew what was gonna happen.. Hitting the ball with his inner foot, the father of freekicks elegantly curled one ball home.. The crowd roared in acknowledgement.
I was stunned. How is it possible to "control" the flight of the ball so effortlessly? Amazed. For a 10 year old, it was nothing short of magic.
My love for Manchester United was ignited, by Mr David Beckham.
Bringing home the consent form, I was eager to seek approval from my mum. I had gathered all my courage to approach the CCA soccer teacher in charge on the possibility to join the CCA. Its already impossible to be in the school team by then, but all i wanted was to enjoy football with the other "stars" in school, and most importantly, to be guided under a coach. With high hopes, I showed the consent form to my parents..
But I guess it was not meant to be. I was given a lecture on the importance of education and PSLE. I locked myself into my room, and buried my tears into the pillow. Because I knew, a 12 year old can never convince an adult into accepting his dreams...
Its almost 6 years ago,but still, thanks Mr Izudin. For giving me an opportunity when I approached you.
Its been a long long time from then. I've seen the meaning of happiness, the feeling of sorrow, and experienced heartbreak in different departments of life. I felt the meaning of pain...
Rainy days are gloomy, the sun not to be taken for granted.
The sea is a source of enlightenment, but where does the water in the sea comes from? It comes from the rain-The gloomy days.
The greater the storm, the richer the sea...
This post took me 4 hours, if you appreciate my posts, tag! Thanks (=
I'll reply the tags in the next post.
